Meeting key members attending the ADI Congress
2013
Last week a group of us from the clinic travelled south to attend the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) Congress 2013.
The event was a special one as it marked the 25th anniversary of the ADI which as its mission statement declares is a “registered charity dedicated to providing the profession with continuing implant education and the public with a greater understanding of the benefits of dental implants”.
I’ve been an active member of the ADI for many years now and I’ve gained great benefit from being able to share knowledge and expertise from many of the speakers invited by the organisation to address its members.
I firmly believe that the ADI is a real bonus for all those involved in the world of dental implants and our group that travelled to Manchester included two of our dental nursing team – Pam and Kasia.
FANTASTIC SPEAKERS
During the event I was invited to moderate one of the sessions and was delighted to be able to introduce some fantastic speakers who’d flown in from all over the world for this special occasion.
The speakers were were Dr Christian Coachman (from Brazil), Dr German Gallucci ( from Boston) Dr Zeev Ormianer( from Israel ) and Professor Urs Braegger (from Switzerland). All were presenting on implant complications and their management – a key message of the Congress 2013.
The photo at the top of the screen shows me with Dr German Gallucci, Professor Cemal Ucer (ADI president) Dr Christian Coachman and Dr Koray Feran.

Through our ongoing involvement with the ADI we’re able to enjoy specially organised education sessions during which we can network with others involved in dental implant surgery as well as hearing from some of the leading lights in this part of the dental profession.
