“Old school” visit – with exciting plan ahead
9th March 2013
I recently visited the department of human anatomy at the University of Glasgow, a short distance away from our dental clinic and a place I know well from my days of studying.
What has been an old, historic building has recently undergone a £6m refurbishment programme, transforming it into a 21st century state of the art facility which now rivals any other similar department in the UK’s other university campuses.
I studied for a BSc Hons in anatomy in the building and while it’s been transformed it’s still recognisable from my student days.
It was a real honour being able to have a sneak preview before the official launch event – watch out for it as I’m sure the media will cover the event.
As well as having a tour around I was also there to talk to the academic team about the study processes.
I’m delighted that my proposal for a revolutionary course structure has been accepted – watch this space as plans roll out.
