Philip’s chef training gave him experience for future role in dentistry

Here’s a fact some of you won’t know!
When I was a student I trained as a chef and worked in the high-pressured environment of busy kitchens serving everything from pizza/pasta to fine dining dishes.
The dental magazine PPD has featured the story about my chef days in their new issue under the banner “My best decision”. As the piece says working as a chef taught me lots about team work and high pressure. The experience – done primarily to raise funds to help finance myself through uni’ – also taught me a lot about the importance of being focused and remaining so.
Here’s a pic of me in the kitchen at Gordon Ramsay’s NY restaurant Maze. And yes I still LOVE cooking for friends and family.
